Please note that secure Car Parking at St Patrick’s Quay near the hotel is charged at €10.00 per 24 hours. Guest should proceed to St. Patrick’s Quay Car Park and take a ticket when entering the Car Park. To avail of the special discounted rate, please talk to our Reception team. Please do not park outside the hotel as there is no designated loading area available.
Directions
From Cork Airport (N27)
On exiting Cork Airport you will approach a roundabout, on the main Cork to Kinsale road (N27). Take the first exit from this roundabout signposted for Cork City.
Go straight down the hill, passing through the two sets of traffic lights, until you reach the large roundabout at the bottom of the hill. Take the third exit from this roundabout, signposted for City Centre (N27).
Continue straight on through four sets of traffic lights. You should now be in the second lane from the left, and be turning left at the next junction (after the Elysian Building – 18 storey building on your right). Following this you need to turn right at the next junction, as to cross the river. Continue straight on now, until you come to a T-junction, at which you need to turn left.
You should see the Metropole Hotel on the opposite bank of the river. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right to cross the river, go straight through the next junction, and then turn right at the following set. You are now on MacCurtain Street, the Metropole Hotel Cork is situated 200m along this on the right hand side, and you will find a set-down area outside for your convenience.
From Dublin (N8)
From the Dunkettle roundabout (next to Jack Lynch Tunnel) follow the signs for Cork City Centre (do not go under the tunnel).
Continue straight on, you will come in the road along the River Lee, do not cross the river at any point.
Keep going straight on, and you will come to the rear of the Metropole Hotel (large yellow painted building from rear), once you have past the hotel, turn right at the next set of traffic lights. Followed immediately by another right at the next set of traffic lights. You are now on MacCurtain Street, the Metropole Hotel is situated 200m along this on the right hand side, and you will find a set-down area outside for your convenience.
From Killarney (N22)
Once you come onto the dual carriageway from the Killarney direction (N22), do not turn off it until the City Centre/Cork Airport slip road. Take this slip road off the dual carriageway, and at the roundabout take the second exit, signposted City Centre (N27).
Continue straight on through four sets of traffic lights. From Limerick (N20)
From the Limerick direction (N20), carry straight on following signs for City Centre, until you have passed Blackpool Shopping Centre. At the next set of traffic lights you need to turn right. Continue straight on now, passing Heineken Ireland, and once you pass a Statoil Petrol Station take your next turn left.
Pass straight through the next two sets of traffic lights, the Metropole Hotel Cork city is 200m following the second set of lights on the right hand side of MacCurtain Street, and you will find a set-down area outside for your convenience.
